He has been at the Boston Globe since 2003 and before that at the Portland Press Herald, where he was a political reporter and a features writer. He grew in western Mass., where his father was the editor of a local newspaper, and he developed a keen interest in news and storytelling. He attended Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. He is married with two fantastic children, Julia and Beckett.
