Michael Fitzgerald joined the magazine staff as articles editor in March 2016, after 14 years as a freelance journalist, where he wrote for the Globe Magazine as well as dozens of other publications. Before freelancing he was a producer, editor, or writer at TechTV, Red Herring, ZDNet, and Computerworld. He was a 2011 Nieman Fellow at Harvard University and a 2007 Templeton-Cambridge Journalism Fellow in Science and Religion.
