A 6-foot freshman guard at UMass Dartmouth, Azor averaged 18.3 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.7 rebounds in three victories for the Corsairs (17-6), who won 13 of their last 15 games. The Little East Rookie of the Week poured in a career-high 23 points in a 96-76 win at Western Connecticut.
The Bishop Feehan graduate is averaging a team-leading 18.1 points and 11.4 rebounds as a junior forward for the Holy Cross women’s basketball team (13-9), which has won four of its last six games. She recorded double-doubles in back-to-back games against American and Lafayette.
With her victory in the 1,650-yard freestyle (17:25.27) at WPI, the Assumption senior became the first swimmer in Northeast-10 history to win the same event in the conference finals four years running. She also won the 1,000 freestyle in leading the Greyhounds to the team title.
