Stoughtonis going to “rebrand” the town, thanks to a $586,000 grant from the state.
Governor Charlie Baker awarded the town a Community Development Block Grant to fund a facelift for downtown businesses. The funds come from the Community Development Block Grant Program, a federal initiative by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Four businesses in Stoughton will get full facelifts to their signage and facades, and 10 businesses will get sign-only projects.
The state funded a handful of similar initiatives across the state in places like Chelsea and Lowell.
