Man arrested after police find cocaine during traffic stop on Route 10 in Northfield

State police said they arrested a 21-year-old man after finding cocaine inside his car during a traffic stop in Northfield on Sunday morning.

Ryan Spath, of Richmond, N.H., was stopped on Route 10 North at the intersection of Main Street after a trooper discovered he didn’t have a license and was wanted for failing to honor a promise to appear in court in an unrelated case, State Police said in a statement.

The trooper searched the car and discovered about 28.3 grams of cocaine and $6,708 in cash inside a backpack.

He faces charges including trafficking in cocaine, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and failing to appear upon recognizance, police said. He was released on $3,000 cash bail and is scheduled for arraignment in Greenfield District Court on Monday
