A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and seriously injured Thursday night in Roxbury, police said.
The pedestrian was struck in the area of Melnea Cass Boulevard and Harrison Avenue at about 4:43 p.m., said Boston police spokesman Officer James Kenneally.
The person’s injuries were serious but not life-threatening, and they were alert and conscious when police arrived on scene, Kenneally said.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
