Ana Navarro, a Republican strategist and CNN commentator who’s emerged as a vocal critic of President Trump, will appear at Tufts University next week with a former Obama administration official, the school said.

Navarro and María Cristina “MC” González Noguera, who served as communications director to former First Lady Michelle Obama and special assistant to former President Obama, will discuss the 2018 midterm results during a campus talk on Nov. 15, Tufts said in a statement.

The release said the event, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the ASEAN Auditorium, is open to the press “with some restrictions.”

“Their conversation will focus on the 2018 midterm results, including the impact of young voters and activists; the future of American politics; and their experiences as Latinas in politics on both sides of the aisle,” the statement said.

Navarro, a veteran of the John McCain and John Huntsman presidential campaigns in 2008 and 2012, respectively, has pulled few punches with her frequent barbs at Trump.

She chided him in July after he hurled boorish insults at Senator Elizabeth Warren, a Massachusetts Democrat and likely 2020 presidential candidate, during a rally in Montana.

“For those of us who already thought Trump is a crass, unpresidential, morally unfit, infantile, disgusting jerk, it’s hard to muster much more of a reaction,” Navarro told the Globe at the time. “It just becomes reason 1,583 to affirm that belief.”

The Tufts event is sponsored by the school’s Political Science Department, the Latino Center, the Tufts Republicans, the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, and JumboVote, according to the university.
