Looks like the ART has done it again.

“Jagged Little Pill,” which had its 2018 world premiere at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, is headed to Broadway, just the latest in a string of local productions that have made the leap.

Built on Alanis Morissette’s blockbuster 1995 album of the same name, “Jagged Little Pill” was directed by the ART’s artistic director, Diane Paulus, with a book by Diablo Cody, who won a best original screenplay Oscar for the film “Juno.”

The story of a fraying Connecticut family, “Jagged Little Pill” sold out its entire run at the ART. The album, co-written by Glen Ballard, made Morissette, then just 21 years old, a pop-music superstar, and went on to sell an estimated 33 million copies.

No theater or dates for the Broadway production have been set, according to Playbill.
